All Daughters in the Pittsburgh Assembly

Lenten Quiet Day 2013

Dear Sisters in Christ in the DOK Pittsburgh Assembly,

St. Paul would wish you “grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,” and so do I! And, like Paul, “I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you because your faith is proclaimed in all the world” (Romans 1:8). Specifically, we Daughters are getting ready to proclaim our faith to all of Pittsburgh when we present our second Lenten Quiet Day at Shepherd’s Heart Fellowship on February 23. Last year’s Quiet Day was a gentle outpouring of love that generated many requests for a follow-up.   If you missed it last year, you won’t want to miss it again!

This year, as you can see from the attached flyer, we will be delving into the lives of 12 strong women of the Old Testament. We can learn so much from both their strengths and their weaknesses. Please plan to be with us as we practice this Lenten tradition of prayer and reflection.

Shepherd’s Heart is centrally located in the Uptown section of Pittsburgh. There is plenty of parking next to the building, which has an elevator. We will have coffee, tea and light refreshments available before and throughout the morning. And, best of all, we will have time to let go of the pressures of our daily lives and, instead, absorb some of the teachings in God’s Holy Word.
Be there and let us show Pittsburgh that the Daughters of the King also are strong women who live out our faith!

For His Sake,

Fall Assembly 2012

Dear Daughters in the DOK Pittsburgh Assembly,

It is time!  It is time to gather together as the Pittsburgh Assembly to
celebrate who we are, to review where we have been, and to look forward to
what God wants us to be.  The attachment contains the registration form for
our Fall Assembly.  We are expecting at least a carful of eager Daughters
from each chapter.  And we are looking for all of you Daughters at Large
