Before becoming a Daughter, a woman participates in an 8 week study and period of discernment. This is a time for her to learn more about Daughters of The King and to discern whether she is called to be a Daughter. At the end of the study, there is a service if induction for those women who have completed the study and wish to become Daughters. The service is often done as part of a regularly scheduled church service in the parish. Representatives from the Diocese and other chapters may attend to welcome and support the new Daughters. The new Daughters are given their crosses and reaffirm their baptismal vows at the service.
