What are the Daughters of the King?

The Order of the Daughters of the King, Inc was founded in the Episcopal Church in 1885. Our Founder, Margaret J. Franklin envisioned the mission of the order to be the extension of Christ's Kingdom through prayer, service and evangelism.   Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our current vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make known to others, and to become reflections of God's love throughout the worlds.   Rule of Life  

What is a Rule of Life?

A Rule of Life is a considered pattern of activities designed to embody and focus our relationship with God.
A Rule of Life may thought of as:
* a covenant between God and me
* a way tp provide "prime time" for God in my life
* the routine side of loving God
* that which I can use to focus my Christian walk

What is Involved in the Rule of Service?

The Rule of Service is the application of one's baptismal vow, reafffirmed by confirmation to be Christ's faithful servant in the extension of His Kingdom.   There are many ways for a Chaper or an indiviudal Daughter to serve. Some possibilities are:
